FACULTY
The Early School's
outstanding faculty has an average of 20 years teaching experience in
early childhood education. This professional staff of more than thirty
teachers and assistants are committed to the idea that each child is a
unique learner who merits focused attention. Dedicated to their students
and their families, our teachers share a common goal of fostering the
social and educational growth of each child as they advance through the
levels of The Early School.

The Parents’ Council is the link among the
parents of The Early School, school staff, temple groups and staff. Our
goal is to enhance the early childhood educational experience for our
children.
Parents’ Council is gearing
up for the
2009-2010 school year. We kicked off the school year with our Opening
Breakfast on Thursday, October 1, 2009. In September, we
began our annual Challah Program, a Parents’ Council fundraiser which
offers the Early School children an opportunity to bring home a Challah
to share with their families every Shabbat. We also continue to
offer a weekly bagel lunch and the weekly pizza lunch. We will also
continue the Tzedakah program; last year the children raised money to
adopt animals from the Turtle Back Zoo and help support the Livingston
Police Department.
Our biggest fundraiser, the
Annual
Marketplace, Book Fair and Bake Sale, was on Thursday,
November 19, 2009. There was a Book Fair Party on Wednesday,
November 18, 2009. Both events were a great success! What wonderful opportunities to show support for the
Early School and shop for holiday gifts at the same time! Thank you to
all who participated.
Tot Shabbat services, dinner and
activities provide a great way to socialize with other Early School
families. We will continue to sponsor the monthly entertainment and
pizza lunch for the students. The children really love these shows and
of course, they love the pizza. Enjoy Family Fun Day on Sunday, January
10, 2010. Ladies Night Out was such a big hit last year that Parents’
Council is busy planning a fall and spring event for this upcoming
school year; the dates are to be determined. The Parents’ Council is
also responsible for the K-ready’s Field Day and yearbook, as well as
the teacher appreciation week/dinner.
We encourage all parents to participate in
helping to make this year a great one. Last year’s fundraising efforts
were a huge success and Parents’ Council was able to purchase some new
play equipment for the bike room as well as some more bookshelves for
The Early School Library. Remember that all monies raised by the
Parents’ Council go directly back to the children and the children love
to see their parents involved in their school. Please contact us if you
have any new ideas or suggestions, or if you would like to volunteer on
one or more of our committees.
